New Festival Welshampton is the location of the very first North Shropshire Cajun and Zydeco Big Weekend running from the 17th – 19th August. Playing at the festival are The Flatville Aces, The Hackney Ramblers, The Zydeco Diamonds, Chanky-Chank and The Hazel Scott Playboys together with dance workshops and DJs from the Swamp Rock Roadshow. You will also find our very own Ian and Cheryl squeezing and a scrapping as they are going to be lending a hand with a couple of the acoustic sessions @ the Sun Inn…….so make sure you stop by and say bonjour!
Join us for another Brighton first at London Unity on 1st June @ 8.30 for some slightly striped but just as spicy acoustic Chowder.
Rough Chowder is once again supporting the Worthing Lions by performing a free gig at the Worthing Festival on Sunday 29th July. This year we are excited to be joining the American Rod and Custom Car Show hosted by UK Street Machines in Steyne Gardens.
The good times certainly rolled last night at The Neptune in Hove, la réaction a été fantastique and we were bowled over by the response. Viva the Cajun revolution!! There were plenty of flashes going off too so if anyone has some (flattering!) photographs from last night we would love to see them. Merci à vous amis.
Beer, Cajun, Beer, Zydeco, Beer, Rockabilly…….oh and Cheryl was on the Perry ummmmm. We like playing the FINFEST Beer Festival!

A foot stomping night was had at the Cobblers Thumb in Brighton on Friday night and we would like to thank everyone who came to support us, both old friends and new, we knew we had hit the right notes when you couldn’t get another person on the dancefloor! |
